About the Role
We’re hiring a Tax Director on behalf of our client, a respected public accounting firm committed to client-focused service and strategic excellence. This role is ideal for a CPA with deep public accounting experience who excels at leading tax strategy, advising complex client portfolios, and driving firm-wide tax innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the firm’s tax practice, developing strategic initiatives to drive client success and firm growth
- Advise high-net-worth individuals, private clients, nonprofits, and estates on complex tax matters
- Mentor and lead a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration
- Oversee technical tax review and ensure full compliance with current laws and standards
- Collaborate across audit and advisory teams to provide comprehensive client service
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years of progressive tax experience within a public accounting firm
- CPA license required; Master’s in Taxation preferred
- Expertise in federal, state, and local tax codes and advanced tax research
- Strong leadership and executive communication skills
- Experience with tax software such as CCH Axcess or ProSystem fx
