About the Role


We’re hiring a Tax Associate on behalf of our client, a premier mid-sized CPA firm based in Austin, TX. This role is ideal for a tax professional with at least 2 years of public accounting experience who is either CPA-licensed or currently pursuing certification. The position focuses on high-net-worth individuals, private client services, and a range of business entities. Onsite or hybrid work arrangements are available.



Key Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with Senior Managers and Partners to provide tax planning, compliance, and advisory services
  • Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, C-corporations, S-corporations, and partnerships
  • Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and filing deadlines
  • Research technical tax issues and communicate recommendations to clients and internal teams
  • Build client relationships through proactive communication and understanding of financial goals
  • Identify and advise on tax-saving strategies tailored to diverse client needs
  • Stay current with changes in tax laws and participate in training to enhance technical skills



What We’re Looking For


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA license or currently pursuing CPA certification
  • Master’s in Taxation or equivalent advanced degree preferred
  • 2+ years of public accounting experience with a focus on tax for individuals and business entities
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax codes and compliance procedures
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and client service skills
