Land Development Engineer & Project Manager – Chantilly, VA (Onsite)


ABGI Talent Solutions is seeking Civil Engineers and Project Managers on behalf of a respected multi-disciplinary design firm located in Chantilly, VA. These roles are ideal for professionals experienced in land development design and looking to contribute to a collaborative and goal-oriented work environment.


About the Role:

Selected candidates will work on a wide range of exciting and diverse projects of varying size and complexity for both public and private sector clients. Project types include mixed-use and transit-oriented developments, residential and commercial projects, office spaces, government facilities, utility and infrastructure work, and mission-critical/data center sites. This is a hands-on role that involves civil engineering land development design, including site planning, stormwater management, and infrastructure development.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and coordinate land development projects, including grading, drainage, utility layout, and stormwater management systems
  • Work collaboratively with an integrated team of engineers, planners, surveyors, and landscape architects
  • Prepare and review construction documents, technical reports, and permit applications
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, and regulatory agencies
  • Manage timelines and deliverables, ensuring quality and efficiency
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff (Project Manager level)


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • 4–10 years of civil engineering experience for Engineer roles; 8–15 years for Project Manager roles
  • Experience with land development design for both private sector clients and public/federal agencies
  • Proficiency in Civil3D and AutoCAD is required
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team-driven environment
  • EIT or PE licensure is a plus
  • Must be enthusiastic, highly motivated, and goal-oriented
