About the Role

We’re hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer (PE) on behalf of our client, a well-established architecture and engineering firm based in Rochester, NY. This role is ideal for a licensed PE with strong building systems experience who thrives in design leadership, team mentorship, and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll contribute to the design of complete electrical systems for new and renovated buildings across diverse industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Design power, lighting, fire alarm, and specialty electrical systems for buildings
• Lead and review the work of junior engineers, designers, and technicians
• Develop project schedules and assist with team workload planning
• Edit project specifications to align with technical and code requirements
• Deliver high-quality work independently with minimal oversight

What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years of experience designing building electrical systems
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related ABET-accredited field
• FE exam completed; PE license in NYS preferred (or eligible within one year)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong knowledge of NEC (NFPA 70), circuit theory, and power distribution systems
• Valid NYS driver’s license and ability to travel within the state as needed
