About the Role

We’re hiring multiple Tax Managers on behalf of our client, a top-rated and growing CPA firm based in Houston, TX. This opportunity is ideal for CPAs with at least 5 years of recent public accounting experience who are interested in delivering proactive, year-round tax planning and advisory services. This firm offers a collaborative culture, strong mentorship, excellent benefits—and even annual team-building trips.

Key Responsibilities

• Review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S-corporations, C-corporations, trusts, and estates
• Manage client relationships by understanding their tax and business needs and developing tailored strategies
• Oversee engagement planning, staffing, and project timelines
• Prepare client billing and contribute to firm operations
• Mentor and supervise tax staff and administrative team members to support their professional growth

What We’re Looking For

• CPA designation (required)
• 5+ years of recent public accounting tax experience
• Strong background in tax compliance and planning for a variety of entity types and high-net-worth individuals
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proven team leadership and communication skills with high ethical standards
• Experience with Lacerte, QuickBooks, BNA Tax Planner, and CaseWare is a plus
