About the Role
We’re hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer (PE) on behalf of our client, a respected MEP engineering and consulting firm based in Baltimore, MD. This role is ideal for someone who is technically sharp, experienced in complex building systems, and thrives in a leadership role within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage electrical design for complex building projects, including healthcare, telecom, and government facilities.
- Prepare electrical construction drawings, load calculations, specifications, cost estimates, and conduct field inspections.
- Develop conceptual designs from client meetings and oversee execution through construction documentation.
- Coordinate emergency and normal power systems (UPS, generators, switchgear) across multidisciplinary teams.
- Participate in client meetings, site visits, project proposals, and ensure project delivery on time and within budget.
What We’re Looking For
- 8–20 years of experience in electrical design for buildings
- Proven expertise in UPS, emergency power, lighting, and low-voltage electrical systems
- Excellent communication and project leadership skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Maryland
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience preferred
- U.S. citizenship and valid driver’s license required
