About the Role


We’re hiring a Structural Engineer – Construction Engineering Project Manager on behalf of our client, a nationally recognized structural engineering firm working on some of the most complex and large-scale construction projects in the country. This role is ideal for a licensed civil or structural engineer with strong technical depth, leadership skills, and a passion for construction means and methods engineering.



Key Responsibilities


  • Lead and manage construction engineering projects involving steel erection, shoring design, connection design, heavy lift planning, and on-call contractor support.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and key contributor to the growth of the Construction Engineering Practice Area in the assigned region.
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers and BIM drafters, supporting their development and project contributions.
  • Oversee preparation of construction documents, specifications, and proposals, including scope, budgets, and schedules.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, clients, and project stakeholders to drive repeat business and new opportunities.



What We’re Looking For


  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred)
  • 8–12 years of relevant experience, preferably with a focus on construction means and methods engineering
  • California Civil PE required; SE license in California preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills
  • Strong communication and client relationship abilities
  • Business development mindset with ability to support proposal and strategy work
